We leave Cusco at 05:00 am in a private transport company to reach Mollepata (2900 meters), passing through Izcuchaca and Limatambo Mollepata reach our destination at around 7:30 am where we will stop for 40 minutes for breakfast and introduce the company to accompany us during the next 03 days of the tour, then we drive 30 minutes to reach qasa Marco.
here we will start our first day of hiking, we will walk five hours to the camp, during the hike we wil be able to enjoy the majestic snow Humantay (5480 m), walking in the mountains of the Andes to reach the camp where the first lunche Soraypampa will take place after a delicious lunch and a short rest, continue to rise for an hour and a half so we can see a beautiful lake located very near the glacier, forty minutes to appreciate and learn from the professional tour guide, after only the way back to the first camp Soraypampa (3900 m) at approximately 17:00 have "tea time" where our guests can enjoy the famous coca tea to counter altitude sickness and where our guide will explain a little more of the area in which we are, then we will enjoy the Andean sky night to understand a just over the Andean astronomy. After that comes the dinner and then going to rest to be ready for the next day, it will be the hardest of all the way (camp Soraypampa night).
After a hearty breakfast, we prepare for our trek doing different stretching exercises, this will be a good long hard day, we will reach the highest of our journey point, we will have 04 hours of ascent from Soraypampa to Salkantay Pass ( 4,600 m) during the ascent, we can enjoy and appreciate different gaps changing ecological floor Quechua area of the high mountain area, if the weather favors us, we enjoy the majestic Apu Salkantay (6500 m) which is one of the most important mountains of the department of geography of Cusco and one of the most important of the Inca culture, after an explanation of the area and our dedicated tour guide in giving for the passenger to enjoy their snacks mountains (agency) , starting the descent to the village of Huayracmachay where we have lunch, after a deserved nap, we will continue our descent to the village of Chaullay, where we will spend the second night in the latter part of the day, we will enjoy the geographical displacement between cold, dry area were in the days of the humid tropics, we will also enjoy the change in flora and fauna, we will see different kinds of birds and different orchids, reaching the point of camping at around 17:00. Like the day before, we will have afternoon tea and then dinner and overnight (the night at Camp Chaullay).
This day will be unique and unforgettable, because we will see during the walk a great variety of flora and fauna, from CHALLAY, through the COLLPAPAMPA community and continuing the descent through the local vegetation, watching the hot springs in a valley near the course of the Santa Teresa river where you can also see several varieties of orchids and large waterfalls, also we feel the large climate change because this day will enter the jungle area called or high forest, after reaching .where we will have the lunch made by our chef way. After lunch we will take a car for Hydroelectric (1 hour and 20 minutes), from here we will take the train at 4:30 pm to the town of Aguas Calientes about 1 hour on the road we will have the opportunity to see the flora and Foune area.
We reach the village of Machu Picchu, where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel with private rooms, hot shower, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Around 19:00, we will have dinner and final preparations for the most important day of the tour for the visit to the sacred city of the Incas MACHUPICCHU !!!
Very early after breakfast (around 5:00 a.m.), begin the ascent by an hour hike to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, so we could be one of the first groups of the Inca city that allows us to enjoy the majestic sunrise, then we will have a tour of the most important Inca temples and palaces compounds inside the citadel of Machu Picchu, with your tour guide for about 02 hours, then you can explore the mysterious city by yourself (optional ascent of Wayna Picchu mountain, a $ 20 per person).
At the appropriate time, we will descend from Machu Picchu to "Aguas Calientes" to board the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there the car back to Cusco.
